How to do gastroscopy
Examination 1: gastroscopy combined with biopsy under direct vision is the main method for the diagnosis of chronic gastritis. Serum parietal cell antibody test and serum gastrin determination can be used as reference indexes for diagnosis and classification of atrophic gastritis.
Examination 2: the basic gastric acid secretion (Bao), maximum gastric acid secretion (MAO) and peak gastric acid secretion (PAO) per hour were measured by stimulation with pentagastrin, which is helpful for the diagnosis of atrophic gastritis.
Examination 3: X-ray barium meal examination showed no abnormality in most chronic superficial gastritis. Atrophic gastritis can show atrophy of gastric mucosa, flat and reduced gastric wrinkle wall by gas barium double contrast. The gastric acid secretion of chronic atrophic gastritis is low.
