How does child cryptorchidism do
summary
My colleagues gave birth to a little boy not long ago. We all congratulated them and were very happy for them. But not long ago, when I examined the baby boy, I found that he had cryptorchidism. The doctor suggested that they should have the baby boy operated on. Now let's talk about how to do cryptorchidism in children.
How does child cryptorchidism do
First: endocrine therapy: endocrine therapy mainly uses gonadotropin. If the simple cryptorchidism is congenital hypoplasia without testicle, hCG or LHRH can be used before 3 years old to promote the secretion of androgen testosterone and the maturation of germ cells, so as to make the testis drop automatically. However, if the testis is located in the superficial inguinal fossa between the subcutaneous tissue and the aponeurosis of the external oblique muscle, the above treatment is often ineffective.
Second: surgical treatment: the purpose of surgical treatment is to restore the normal physiological environment of the testis, so that the testis is under the normal temperature in the scrotum, in order to maintain the fertility of patients, and reduce the complications such as malignant transformation as far as possible. At present, it is suggested that the operation should be performed at the age of 1-2 years. Because the risk of malignant transformation of abdominal cryptorchidism is 4 times of that of normal testis, surgical treatment of abdominal cryptorchidism should be carried out as soon as possible.
Third: cryptorchidism patients without complications generally have no conscious symptoms. The main manifestations were flat scrotum on the affected side, asymmetric scrotum on the left and right sides in unilateral cases, and empty and collapsed scrotum in bilateral cryptorchidism cases. If complicated with indirect inguinal hernia, the affected side appears mass after activity, accompanied by distending pain and discomfort. In severe cases, paroxysmal abdominal pain, vomiting and fever may occur. If cryptorchidism torsion occurs, such as cryptorchidism located in the inguinal canal or outer ring, it is mainly manifested as local painful mass, no normal testis in the affected scrotum, and mild gastrointestinal symptoms.
matters needing attention
For young boys with cryptorchidism, doctors generally advise their parents to treat their children. Some parents may not plan to treat their children because they are young and seem to have no symptoms. However, if the situation does not improve, it may lead to infertility in the future.
