What is pancreatic cancer screening
summary
Uncle recently has a little pain in his lower abdomen, and he feels very tired. His appetite is not as good as before. He doubts whether he has pancreatic cancer or not. He doesn't know what to do in the hospital. Now let me introduce to you the screening of pancreatic cancer.
What is pancreatic cancer screening
First, B-ultrasound examination. B ultrasound is the first choice for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and screening method in general survey. Attention should be paid to the size of the pancreatic head. If the thickness of the head of pancreas measured by ultrasound is greater than 30mm (the ultrasonic value of the head of pancreas is less than 30mm in most men and less than 28mm in women), and the thickness of the body of pancreas is greater than 25mm (less than 22mm in normal men and less than 20mm in women), further follow-up examination should be carried out. Hypoechoic solid mass can be seen. The shape of the pancreas is irregular, and tumors larger than 2cm can be found, as well as pancreatic duct dilatation, bile duct (intrahepatic or / and extrahepatic) dilatation, gallbladder enlargement and intrahepatic metastasis.
Second: CT examination. CT scan can show the correct location and size of pancreatic tumor and its relationship with peripheral blood vessels, and can find tumors about 1cm in diameter. If enhanced scan can be used, or some lesions that are difficult to be determined by plain scan can be displayed more clearly, low-density irregular lesions can be seen in the enhanced pancreatic parenchyma, which can be used for staging, so as to judge the operation mode and prognosis. At present, CT has become the main method for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. The accuracy of CT in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is 98%.
Third: the ultrasonic examination of fiber gastroscope. The ultrasonic probe is installed on the top of gastroscope, which is close to the back wall of stomach for comprehensive examination of pancreas. It is not interfered by gas, which greatly improves the diagnostic rate of pancreatic cancer. It can clearly show the structure of pancreas and find early lesions.
matters needing attention
Pancreatic cancer is a common gastrointestinal nausea tumor. There are many screening methods for pancreatic cancer in clinic. For people who doubt whether they have pancreatic cancer, the above routine examinations can be done and can be found generally.
