Angina attack can be dull pain, can also be squeezing pain. There are some patients who just feel chest tightness when they have angina. Angina pectoris can be divided into typical angina pectoris and atypical angina pectoris. Typical angina pectoris is a kind of squeezing or bloating pain, sometimes asphyxiating pain may occur, and most of the time, the pain site affects the precordial area.
Symptoms of angina attack
The location of typical angina pain can be, but not limited to, the precordial area. The pain can radiate to the left shoulder and left upper limb. The farthest place can reach the ring finger and little finger. Some people may feel dying when they have typical angina.
Typical angina pectoris attack due to the more serious symptoms, so often will force the patient to stop all physical activities, and lead to body sweating. Typical angina attacks generally last about 1 to 5 minutes, and a few people may have pain for more than 15 minutes.
Angina pectoris can also be atypical. When this attack occurs, the pain can be in the left anterior heart area, or in the upper abdomen or neck and mandible. Sometimes, the left shoulder blade and right chest also have pain. This kind of pain attack subsides quickly, and sometimes only the left chest feels uncomfortable.
