How to check fatty liver
The first is that B-mode ultrasonography is sensitive to fatty liver detection. It is mainly diagnosed according to the definition of liver blood vessels and the degree of ultrasonic attenuation. It has been used as the preferred diagnostic method for fatty liver and is widely used in epidemiological investigation of incidence rate of fatty liver in the population. However, B-ultrasound can not determine the degree of liver function damage, and it is difficult to detect early cirrhosis.
Second: laboratory examination of mild fatty liver, liver function is basically normal. The levels of ALT and AST in moderate and severe fatty liver were 2-5 times higher than those in normal liver. In general, ALT is higher than AST in obese fatty liver, on the contrary, AST is higher than ALT in alcoholic fatty liver. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and creatinine were detected in half of the patients γ- Glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) increased 2-3 times. More than 80% of the patients had elevated serum cholinesterase. Serum bilirubin may be abnormal.
Third: about 30% - 100% of the patients in physical examination have obesity, mild liver enlargement may have tenderness, slightly tough texture, blunt edge and smooth surface, and a few patients may have splenomegaly and liver palms. When liver cirrhosis develops, jaundice, edema, flapping wing tremor and signs of portal hypertension may appear.
