Symptoms of hepatoblastoma in children?

Update Date: Source: Network

summary

Hepatoblastoma is the most common malignant liver tumor in infants, accounting for more than 80% of primary liver tumors in children. Among them, 90% occurred before 3 years old, 60% were infants under 1 year old, and boys were more common. The cause of hepatoblastoma is still unclear, which may be related to the abnormal proliferation and differentiation of liver cells during embryonic development. If we find hepatoblastoma, what should we do? How does it happen? We need to have a good discussion. Here are my opinions.

Symptoms of hepatoblastoma in children?

First: in the past, the treatment of hepatoblastoma was mainly surgical resection, but because of the occult onset, more than 60% of the children could not completely remove the tumor at the time of diagnosis, so the 5-year survival rate was only 20% ~ 30%. Adjuvant chemotherapy before and after surgery plays an important role in improving the complete rate of surgical resection and reducing the recurrence rate. Therefore, most of the children with hepatoblastoma are treated with surgery combined with chemotherapy.

Second: hepatoblastoma belongs to embryogenic malignant tumor, which can be divided into fetal type, embryonic type, giant beam type, small cell undifferentiated type, mixed type and other subtypes in pathology. The prognosis of pure fetal type is good, while that of undifferentiated type is very poor. For children with highly suspected hepatoblastoma, the pathological diagnosis should be made by biopsy or surgical resection.

Third: at present, hepatoblastoma is not an incurable disease, the 5-year survival rate has reached more than 80%. For some children with refractory or recurrent hepatoblastoma, the application of comprehensive treatment such as surgery, chemotherapy, liver transplantation, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and biotherapy can also improve the prognosis of these children.

matters needing attention

Parents should often touch the child's abdomen, pay attention to whether there is swelling mass, in order to early detection, timely diagnosis and treatment, which is particularly important for the chance of radical surgery and improve the prognosis. Usually we should know how to keep it. If we don't keep it, it's futile to use medicine. Recuperation is to pay attention to the rules of life and eating habits, relax the mood, stay up late and live irregular life.
