Severe cases may have headache, joint pain, fever, fatigue, nausea and other systemic symptoms. After a few days, it can subside, leaving temporary pigmentation. Individual patients may have asthma, proteinuria, or increased eosinophils in the blood.
For symptomatic treatment, 1% ~ 2% peppermint or phenolic calamine lotion or 5% camphor ethanol can be used. Patients with extensive skin lesions or severe pruritus can be treated with glucocorticoid cream externally and histamine orally. The patients with secondary infection were treated with antibiotic ointment.
