summary

The development of a disease, as long as the disease develops to the late stage, it is difficult to cure, cirrhosis is such. Maybe people don't know much about the disease of liver cirrhosis, so that people don't strengthen certain defensive measures, which leads to repeated attacks of liver cirrhosis and brings serious harm to patients.

Liver cirrhosis patients can't eat some fish

1. Absolute prohibition of alcohol and irritating food, bile should be fasting, fatty and high cholesterol; when it occurs, salt intake should be limited; when liver coma occurs, protein should be banned; when esophageal varices occur, hard food should be avoided, and fluid or semi fluid should be given; when upper gastrointestinal bleeding occurs, temporary fasting should be given, and intravenous supplement should be given. In patients with advanced cirrhosis and coma, the protein intake should be strictly limited. Edema or ascites, should be less salt or no salt.

2. It is a common complication and cause of death in patients with liver cirrhosis to avoid fish with high content of eicosapentaenoic acid. Fish eating is often one of the factors inducing bleeding. In the past, it was believed that the bleeding was due to the puncture of esophageal varices and gastric fundus veins by fishbone. It seems that the change of coagulation function after eating some fish may be the more important reason.

3. The liver is an important organ of the human body. Almost all the venous blood in the abdominal cavity flows into a thick portal vein and flows back to the heart through the liver. When the liver hardens, a large amount of fibrous tissue proliferates in the liver, which hinders the venous return in the abdominal cavity. As a result, the portal vein stagnates and the pressure rises. The blocked celiac venous blood had to be bypassed and returned to the heart through the lower esophageal vein. In this way, a large amount of blood flows through the lower esophageal vein, which will cause the vein to expand, thicken and protrude. Thick veins can protrude esophageal mucosa, exposed in the esophageal cavity, also known as esophageal varices. Therefore, if the food is too rough and hard, it is easy to damage the vein due to friction when passing through the esophagus, especially those with bone spurs, so as not to scratch the esophageal vein and cause venous rupture and bleeding. About 20% of the patients died of the first upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Once the patient has esophageal vein rupture and bleeding, it will be fierce. If the rescue is not timely, it can endanger life.

matters needing attention

Avoid spicy food: when liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension can cause dilatation of the lower esophagus, gastric fundus and hepatic portal vein, and often complicated with gastric mucosal erosion and ulceration. If patients eat spicy food such as pepper, it will promote the damage of gastric mucosa and induce upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
