What does phimosis operation point to
summary
When I went to work this morning, a patient's family member was waiting at the door of my office, because the patient was going to have phimosis surgery today. Then she wanted to ask some questions about this surgery. Let's talk about what phimosis surgery means.
What does phimosis operation point to
First, phimosis refers to the narrow mouth of the skin, which can not be turned up to expose the glans. The slight epithelial adhesion between the inner prepuce and the glans surface was absorbed, the prepuce retracted and the glans was exposed. If adhesion is not absorbed, congenital phimosis is formed. Acquired phimosis is often secondary to inflammation of the prepuce of the glans penis, resulting in scar contracture of the prepuce orifice.
Second: phimosis refers to the foreskin mouth narrow, the foreskin is difficult to turn over. Judging whether it is phimosis or redundant prepuce can be determined by self-examination. The method is: apply soap on the penis to lubricate the inside and outside of the prepuce, fix the penis with the left hand, push and turn the prepuce backward with the right hand. If the prepuce can be turned up smoothly, it is redundant prepuce; if the prepuce mouth is too small to turn up, it is phimosis.
Third: for phimosis, the only treatment is circumcision, and early surgery should be done. Prepucectomy is the best method for newborn boys, but it is a simple and effective method for early diagnosis and treatment and radical cure of chronic prepuce glandularis.
matters needing attention
In general, phimosis surgery is not a particularly big operation, so patients and their families should not worry too much. As long as they maintain a positive attitude, face the disease optimistically, and do a good job of recuperation after surgery, they will certainly recover.
