What does CRI mean

First: for lighting practitioners, CRI is a common term. We often see CRI value in the data of light source, and know that it reflects the quality of light source in terms of color rendering.

Second: CRI value is helpful for people to judge which light source should be used in a lighting device. The higher the CRI value is, the better. CIE's definition of color rendering is: compared with the standard reference light source, the effect of a light source on the color appearance of an object.

Third: in other words, CRI is a measure of color identification when a light source is compared with a standard light source (such as sunlight). CRI is a widely accepted measurement standard and the only way to evaluate and report the color rendering of light sources.

Although the CRI value of incandescent lamp is ideal 100, if people try to identify different dark blue, they will know that it is not ideal to choose incandescent lamp.
