Symptoms of hemochromatosis

Manifestation 1: idiopathic hemochromatosis usually presents symptoms between 40 and 60 years old. Before the age of 20, human beings generally do not have hemochromatosis, and the patients are generally male. Skin pigmentation is common throughout the body. In 50-90% of the patients, the skin is bronze due to excessive melanin, especially in the face and neck, back of hand, extended side of forearm, lower limbs, external genitalia and scars.

Performance 3: testicular atrophy, impotence and pubic hair loss or reduction are also common signs. All joints of limbs can be involved, especially in elderly patients, who have poor response to bloodletting therapy. One quarter of the patients may have unexplained abdominal pain. About 15% of the patients had skin purpura.
