Causes of kidney cancer

Update Date: Source: Network

summary

The incidence rate of renal cell carcinoma is higher than before, and there is no obvious symptom in clinic. The incidental renal cancer discovered by physical examination is increasing day by day, and it can reach 1/2 to 1/5. The incidence rate of renal cell carcinoma is more than 50~70 years old. So what's the reason for kidney cancer? Now let me introduce it in detail.

Causes of kidney cancer

First, smoking: a large number of prospective observations have found that smoking is positively correlated with the incidence of renal cancer. The relative risk factor (RR) of renal cancer in smokers was 2, and the risk of renal cancer increased in smokers who had smoked for more than 30 years and smoked non filter cigarettes.

Second, obesity and hypertension: a prospective study published in the November 2, 2000 issue of the New England Journal of medicine shows that high body mass index (BMI) and hypertension are two independent factors associated with an increased risk of kidney cancer in men.

The third reason is occupation: it is reported that the risk of renal cancer and death increases among workers exposed to metal shops, newspaper printing workers, coke workers, dry cleaning workers and petrochemical workers.
