What is autism

summary

I don't want to get in touch with others. When they are close to me, I feel uncomfortable. When they are hostile to me, I feel afraid. I am especially afraid that loud noise, especially sudden noise, will make me shiver. When I communicate with others, I just want to finish soon, and don't meet again. This situation makes me have to go to the hospital for examination. The hospital said that it is autism, and now it is much better after treatment. I'd like to share with you what autism is and hope to help more people.

What is autism

Symptom 1: due to difficulties in communication and inability to adapt to changes, patients are more likely to be stimulated by emotional or environmental factors, showing impulsive or harmful behaviors. For example, they may be overactive, walk around, scream, jump, or feel particularly bored or anxious under the influence of psychological, physiological, environmental, weather and other factors, resulting in self injurious behaviors such as head bumping, hair pulling or hand biting.

Symptom 2: the language understanding ability is obviously damaged, often can't understand, not used to express their own needs and pain, rarely ask questions, lack of response to other people's words, used to repeating stereotyped actions or postures, sometimes over attached to certain items, and get great satisfaction from them.

Symptom 3: since childhood, autistic patients have shown difficulties in language understanding and expression, difficulty in establishing feelings with people around them, abnormal reactions to various sensory stimuli, and invariable play and behavior, which are different from ordinary children.

matters needing attention

Attention should be paid to this disease: parents should go to the hospital as soon as possible for children with suspected autism tendency, and be diagnosed by specialists (children's neuropsychiatric, psychological and health care majors). Early diagnosis and early treatment are the key to the success of treatment. Due to the different age, clinical manifestations and functional impairment of autistic children, the treatment needs vary from person to person. Before treatment, the doctor in charge and the parents evaluate the children's basic psychological functions, such as language, social interaction, movement and behavior, life ability and other development levels, and then formulate individualized, structured and systematic treatment plan.
