Anterior urethral stricture?
summary
The diameter of the urethra is very small, so complications often occur during the operation. Such complications are relatively difficult to deal with. Now I would like to share my experience with you and teach you, hoping to help you.
Anterior urethral stricture?
The reason of stent falling off or shifting is that the diameter of stent is too small to fully support the urethral wall or the stent is too short, and the prostatic hyperplasia is asymmetric, which makes the stent contact surface and stress different in all directions. In this case, the stent should be replaced or the stenosis should be cut or scar removed properly.
Hematuria: it is because mucous membrane is damaged more, cause haemorrhage, give hemostatic drug to be able to control more. Infection: select appropriate antibiotics for treatment.
Acute urinary retention: can be placed in * 8~12 urethral catheter under the condition of urethral infusion anesthetic. If we consider that the insertion of the catheter may cause stent displacement, we can also perform suprapubic bladder stoma. Cystostomy should be performed when catheter placement fails.
matters needing attention
Urinary incontinence: due to inaccurate positioning, the internal stent invaded the external urethral sphincter, resulting in the loss of function of the sphincter.
