summary

I didn't know about HPV infection before, but because I have a good friend who studies medicine, last time we had dinner together, we just talked about her recent work, which is about this aspect. Let's talk about what HPV infection is.

What is HPV infection

First, HPV is a kind of species-specific epitheliophilic virus, which is a double stranded closed-loop small DNA virus and contains about 8000 base pairs. It includes 8 early open reading frames (e1-e8), 2 late reading frames and 1 non coding long control area. In the early open reading frame, E6 and E7 genes play the most important role in cell growth, and E6 and E7 proteins encoded by E6 and E7 cause immortalization of cervical epithelial cells.

Second, if we dissect HPV, we will find that it is composed of a protein coat and a core. The "raw materials" of the capsid are mainly capsid protein (L1) and secondary capsid protein (L2); the core of shedding the capsid is the real body that can cause human diseases - DNA without envelope and presenting small double stranded ring. In 1949, Strauss first observed HPV particles under the electron microscope. They were spherical, 20 faceted, symmetrical, and about 45-55nm in diameter.

Third: the typical symptom of HPV infection is that the early stage of HPV infection is thin and small light red papules, which will gradually increase and increase with the migration of time. In general, most of them are brittle and hard, and they are uneven verrucous hyperplasia. Clinically, the forms of condyloma acuminatum are mushroom like, cockscomb like, cauliflower like, papillary and so on.

matters needing attention

In our country, HPV infection cases are gradually increasing, so it is also a wake-up call for us to pay more attention to this situation in our daily life, and pay more attention to exercise at ordinary times, so as to improve our physical fitness and enhance our resistance.
