What is the treatment of pulmonary acariasis?
summary
Pulmonary acariasis was discovered in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) as early as 1944, but it is still not fully familiar to medical workers and has not attracted enough attention. It is a pulmonary parasitic disease caused by pulmonary acariasis invading the body with air, water and food, passing through the respiratory tract and parasitizing the lung.
What is the treatment of pulmonary acariasis?
In the past, CARBARSONE and ethylamine were used to treat pulmonary acariasis. CARBARSONE has definite curative effect on pulmonary acariasis, but it has been replaced by metronidazole (metronidazole) since the mid-1980s because of its great toxicity. Metronidazole has good acaricidal effect, convenient use, less adverse reactions, and the curative effect can reach more than 90%.
Adult dose 0.6g/d, divided into 3 times or 0.8g/d, divided into 2 times, 7 days as a course of treatment, continuous use of 3 courses, each course of treatment interval is 7-10 days, if the first course of treatment, the treatment effect is not significant, metronidazole can be added to 1.2g/d, three times. If there is no obvious improvement after 3 courses of treatment, other drugs such as praziquantel should be used.
After treatment, the clinical symptoms such as cough, expectoration and chest tightness disappeared, the rales disappeared, the X-ray chest film had obvious absorption and improvement compared with the chest film before treatment, the blood eosinophils were normal, and the sputum examination for more than two times showed that the adult, larva or egg of pulmonary mite turned negative, which could be regarded as the cure.
