Is this postural hypotension?
summary
Postural hypotension, also known as orthostatic decubitus, is caused by changes in posture, such as sudden change from supine position to orthostatic position, or hypotension caused by insufficient cerebral blood supply caused by standing for a long time. It is generally believed that the systolic blood pressure after standing is 20 mmHg lower than that in supine position, or the diastolic blood pressure is 10 mmHg lower than that in supine position. Is this postural hypotension? Next, I'd like to share my views with you.
Is this postural hypotension?
First, postural hypotension is divided into sudden and secondary. Most of the sudden cases are caused by the dysfunction of autonomic nerve, which leads to the dysfunction of orthostatic arteriole contraction. The main manifestations are low blood pressure when standing upright, unstable standing, blurred vision, dizziness, weakness, incontinence, etc,
Second, syncope occurs in severe cases. Secondary diseases are more common in spinal cord diseases, acute infectious diseases or severe infections (such as lobar pneumonia), endocrine disorders, chronic malnutrition or after the use of antihypertensive drugs and sedatives.
Third: due to the gradual hardening of the heart and vascular system in the elderly, the elastic fibers of large blood vessels will also be reduced, and the sympathetic nerve will be enhanced, which can increase the systolic blood pressure of the elderly. Long term high blood pressure not only damages the sensitivity of the baroreceptor (located in the carotid artery), but also affects the compliance of blood vessels and ventricles.
matters needing attention
1. Eat both meat and vegetable, match the diet reasonably, ensure the intake of comprehensive and sufficient nutrients, and make the physique from delicate to strong. 2. It is advisable to eat more foods rich in protein, iron, copper, folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin C and other "hematopoietic raw materials", such as pig liver, egg yolk, lean meat, milk, fish and shrimp, shellfish, soybeans, tofu, brown sugar and fresh fruits and vegetables.
