summary

Suffering from liver cancer for me is a great torture, but there is no way, only with treatment can make the condition better, now I have been more than a month of treatment. Now I will introduce how to treat liver cancer.

How to treat liver cancer

First, surgical resection of liver cancer is traditionally the most effective method for the treatment of liver cancer. However, not all patients with liver cancer are suitable for surgical treatment. To effectively use surgical treatment, liver cancer depends on two factors: one is the patient's liver function. The second is the location, number and size of liver tumors. Because the liver has the ability to regenerate, if you cut off part of the liver, the remaining liver will grow back. For patients with good liver function, 70% of the liver can be cut off, and the remaining 30% of the liver function will be enough to meet the needs of the body, and it will soon regenerate and grow back to its original size.

Second, transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE). The principle is that the liver cancer is mainly supplied by the hepatic artery, and only one fourth of the blood flow of the liver is supplied by the hepatic artery, and three quarters is supplied by the portal vein. Therefore, the absorbable embolic material is used to block the hepatic artery, and the liver cancer cells die of hypoxia because there is no blood flow supply. The liver will only lose one fourth of the blood flow supplied by the hepatic artery, resulting in the necrosis of some liver cells and liver cancer However, the embolic material used will be absorbed slowly, the hepatic artery will be unblocked, and the liver function will gradually recover.

Third: percutaneous ethanol injection. Alcohol has direct toxicity to cells. If alcohol is spread into cells, non selective protein denaturation, cell dehydration and coagulation necrosis will occur. Subsequent fibrosis and small vessel occlusion will also cause secondary cell death. Therefore, percutaneous ethanol injection is a local treatment, which is useless for distant lesions.

matters needing attention

In the treatment of liver cancer, we must ensure our health, otherwise, for such frequent treatment, our body is easy to collapse, at the same time, it is very important to choose the appropriate treatment.
