Examination 2: tear osmolality: for dry eye and contact lens wearers, the tear osmolality is increased by 25 mOsm / L compared with normal people. If it is greater than 312 MS / L, dry eye can be diagnosed. This is specific, dry eye examination is very good, and targeted.
Examination 3: biopsy and imprinting cytology: the density of conjunctival goblet cells in patients with dry eye decreased, the ratio of nucleus to cytoplasm increased, squamous metaplasia of epithelial cells, corneal epithelial conjunctivalization. By calculating the density of goblet cells in conjunctiva, we can indirectly evaluate the severity of the disease. This is an indispensable part of the inspection, we must actively carry out the inspection.
