Three major inflammations should be vigilant if beriberi is not treated for a long time
summary
Beriberi, or tinea pedis, is a terrible fungal skin disease. If it is not treated in time, it will cause a series of inflammation, with serious consequences. Cellulitis, erysipelas and acute lymphangitis caused by tinea pedis are by no means minor diseases. Serious cases can be life-threatening. Beriberi is not treated for a long time, be alert to three major inflammations.
Three major inflammations should be vigilant if beriberi is not treated for a long time
First: erysipelas - erysipelas is the first inflammation caused by tinea pedis. Tinea pedis is mainly caused by erysipelas in the lower leg. The onset of tinea pedis is often sudden. The patient has chills, fever, headache, nausea, vomiting and joint pain. At the same time, the inguinal lymph nodes of the affected side are swollen and the white blood cells are increased.
Second: acute lymphangitis - this is the second kind of inflammation caused by tinea pedis. It is easy to cause acute lymphangitis when infected and purulent tinea pedis. At the beginning, symptoms such as redness, swelling, heat and pain appeared in the focus of tinea pedis, and soon there was a red line from bottom to top. The nearby lymph nodes were swollen and tender, accompanied by systemic symptoms of different degrees, such as chills, fever, headache, loss of appetite and fatigue. If the treatment was not timely, the "red line" could reach the groin.
Third: cellulitis - this is the third kind of inflammation caused by tinea pedis, which usually occurs in the focus of tinea pedis. The soft tissue in the infected area is loose, and the inflammation is easy to spread around, sometimes to deep tissue, even to tendon and bone.
matters needing attention
The skin surface is obviously red and swollen, and there is obvious concave edema. When it is serious, blisters can occur on it, and the boundary with the surrounding tissue is not clear. Necrosis often occurs in the center of the lesion, while the deep cellulitis is not obvious, only local edema and deep tenderness.
