Adult varicella symptoms?

The clinical incubation period of varicella is about 12-21 days, with an average of 14 days. In the prodromal stage, there were low or moderate fever, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, general discomfort, loss of appetite, cough and other symptoms; The rash appeared within a few hours or 1-2 days after onset. The whole course of disease is as short as one week and as long as several weeks.

The characteristics of chickenpox rash generally first appear in the face, scalp and trunk, and its distribution is centripetal, with more hairline and chest back, less limbs and face, and occasionally palm and sole. Nasal, pharyngeal, oral, vulva and other parts of the mucosa can also rash. When the rash appears, it is still accompanied with different degrees of systemic symptoms, but it is often alleviated. The rash is itchy and sometimes makes the patient fidgety. The rash of mucous membrane is easy to break into ulcer, often accompanied by pain. The patients with more rashes have more severe systemic symptoms.

Varicella has four stages: macula, papule, herpes and scab. At the beginning, it became erythema, a few hours later it became crimson papule, and then it became herpes after a few hours. Typical herpes is oval, thin and easily broken, surrounded by a red halo, with normal skin between the herpes. The blister fluid became clear at first, then became turbid gradually, even presented pustular appearance; It can also form typical pustules due to secondary suppurative infection caused by scratching, and thus lead to aggravation of systemic symptoms.
