Pictures of oral lichen planus symptoms?

The typical lesions were red or purplish red flat polyhedral, round papules or macular papules. The boundary is clear and the surface is waxy. Under the magnifying glass, there are gray white spots or reticulated white lines on the surface. The rash is scattered or clustered, and can be arranged in a band or ring. In acute stage, linear or beaded isomorphic reaction may appear after scratching.

Mucosal damage: common in oral mucosa, can also occur in the labia, glans and perianal. The manifestations were milky white papules or reticular, banded patches or plaques. Erosion and pain may occur. Occasionally, it can be secondary to cancer. It can also involve hair and toenail. The characteristic damage of nail is pterygium.

There are many different types of lichen planus, such as pigmented lichen planus, hypertrophic lichen planus, ulcerative lichen planus, actinic lichen planus, follicular lichen planus, linear lichen planus and so on.

Immunohistochemical staining showed that most of the immunoglobulins were deposited on the colloidal bodies and a few on the cell surface. Cellulosic deposits were found in the basement membrane. The dermis was mainly infiltrated by CD4 lymphocytes, and the intercellular and basal areas were mainly infiltrated by CD8 lymphocytes.
