Dermatofibroma symptoms?
Skin lesions: clinically valuable, intradermal papules or nodules, protuberant hard, base can push, but connected with the epidermis. The skin on the surface is smooth or rough, and the color varies from normal skin color to yellowish brown, dark brown or light red (Fig. 1). It is more common in middle-aged adults than in children. Usually round or oval papules or nodules, about 1cm in diameter, usually not more than 2cm, even 2cm or more. The lesions are usually persistent and may subside spontaneously after a few years.
Usually no conscious symptoms, occasionally mild pain. Some patients may develop multiple dermatofibromas, which are associated with lupus erythematosus and HIV infection treated with prednisone or immunosuppressants. Generally single, or 2-5, occasionally or multiple. The surface of the nodule is smooth or rough, verrucous, often single or even multiple.
The nature of clinical signs is solid and hard to touch. The upper part of the sign adheres to the epidermis and does not adhere to the deep tissue. The lower part can move freely. Fitzpatri proposed a "pit sign" to show its characteristic“ The "dimple" sign was positive (pinching the tumor from both sides with thumb and index finger, the skin above the tumor was slightly depressed.
matters needing attention
If there is pain in a single lesion, it can be removed surgically or cryotherapy can be used. For multiple lesions, 1ml of triamcinolone acetonide (containing 40mg of triamcinolone acetonide) can be injected into the lesions once every 2-3 weeks. If it is difficult to inject more corticosteroids, liquid nitrogen can be used for freezing treatment before injection to make the lesion edema and soften before hormone injection.
