What causes esophageal leiomyoma?
summary
My neighbor's father always likes smoking. He smokes constantly every day, so he has pharyngitis for many years. He usually gets a little angry and his throat is uncomfortable. Recently, I feel very uncomfortable. It's a little difficult to swallow. I thought it was pharyngitis again. So I took some medicine to treat pharyngitis. But after two days, it didn't work. So I went to the hospital for examination. The doctor said it wasn't pharyngitis. He asked me to do an examination. When the result came out, he said it was esophageal leiomyoma. Esophageal leiomyoma is caused by what reason, now tell you.
What causes esophageal leiomyoma?
First: esophageal leiomyoma generally occurs in the proper muscle layer of the esophagus, mainly longitudinal muscle, the vast majority in the esophageal wall, that is, the outer wall of the mucosa in the type. A few of them protruded into the lumen and were polypoid, pedicled and connected with the esophageal wall. There were reports of vomiting from the mouth. This kind of patients may also block the respiratory tract and cause asphyxia during vomiting. This is also the main reason.
Second, the pathogenesis of esophageal leiomyoma is not very clear. It usually occurs in the lamina propria of the esophagus, and can also come from the vascular muscle layer in the esophageal wall and the aberrant embryonic muscle tissue. So this kind of situation must take the treatment way, must go to the regular hospital for examination and medical treatment.
Third: the leiomyomas originated from the inner circular muscle mostly grow in the muscle along the long diameter of the esophagus, and protrude into the cavity due to the low resistance of the mucosa and submucosa. Leiomyoma originating from submucosal muscle layer is more likely to protrude into the cavity, even polypoid. Leiomyomas originating from the lateral longitudinal muscle can grow out of the esophagus and are sometimes mistaken for mediastinal masses. This is also the cause of the disease.
matters needing attention
